The Facts:
I have a degree in Business and diploma (soon to be degree) in Interior Design.
I almost chose culinary school over interior design.
Regardless of my decision, I am a serious foodist and unlike the name, love all things salty.
I work as an interior designer, have my own (small) design company (Oatley Interiors) and love it. But... I also LOVE food.
The Name:
Okay. Let's get something straight- I love doughnuts, but I don't eat them every day... or every week for that matter. They make me happy, seriously... who doesn't smile at the thought of a giant, fried, iced, dough-ring covered in sprinkles? YUM.
The name is more about the meaning of a doughnut- it's a food (?) and it makes people (me) happy... and sounds good with Design... HA. Design is an easy one- I studied it, I want to talk about it with you, share my own designs and others that I think are inspiring.

Is for me to share my recipies, photos, thoughts and designs. I hope you can enjoy food and design as much as I do and I look forward to meeting you! Please feel free to comment on posts- I love feedback!

I saw your comment that you recently went out on your own on Emily Henderson's post about getting people to pay for design services (http://www.stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/reader-questions-how-do-you-get-people-to-pay-you-for-your-t.html#comments). I'm looking for some commission-based help providing advice w/in the Houzz community and any other sites like it.
